Wow.

First impression. What a freakin beautiful game!
Second impression. Excellent! Another System Shock 2!
Third impression. WTF? No crouch? Aww man!

From the cutscenes to the game play, this is a visually stunning game. I mean, I know I've got a good machine for playing it, but the lighting effects, the fire, everything about this game looks great. It plays well, and the controls are not overly complicated. You are not trapped in a real-time mode either, since you can slow down the action, or even pause it while you decide what your next actions will be. And for everyone who loved System Shock 2, you will love this game as well.

Yes, I am disappointed that there is no crouch, but there is an automated action for hiding behind objects. Again, like System Shock 2, you build the character you want to play, from a pure soldier, to a character that relies more on "powers" than weapons. There are mini-puzzles for hacking into terminals and safes, you have a squad under your control... there are many enjoyable features to this game.

I've only just started it, but I can't wait to get to the vehicles.

And if you haven't played it, the Zero Gravity situations are very cool.
